London Stansted Airport (STN)
Comment / This 737 is no stranger to Stansted; she was once based here as G-IGOS with the late Go Fly. She has now emigrated to more northern latitudes, and flies in a non-standard scheme with titles to the effect of "the most flexible way to travel". Presumably a piece of advertising for Norwegian itself?
Air Berlin (opb DBA)
Boeing 737-3L9
D-ADIG (cn 26441/2250)
18th July 2007
London Stansted Airport (STN)
Comment / After some persistent rumours, it seems that Air Berlin are indeed not continuing their domestic services from Stansted into the winter season. Perhaps existing competition and the recent hike in Stansted landing fees have taken their toll? This Boeing 737-300 is another ex. DBA aircraft now in Air Berlin colours. Note the stripes above and below the window line...
Titan Airways
Boeing 757-256
G-ZAPX (cn 29309/936)
17th July 2007
London Stansted Airport (STN)
Comment / G-ZAPX is Titan's VIP Boeing 757, fitted with just 96 leather seats. She's seen here arriving on a positioning flight from Gatwick, after filling in for a Monarch schedule. She is also the aircraft that Titan send on their more lucrative contracts - recent guests on board include the Rolling Stones.

London Stansted Airport (STN)
Comment / EI-DCC executes a go around off runway 23 due to a temporary runway closure.
FedEx Express
McDonnell Douglas MD-11F
N575FE (cn 48500/493)
18th July 2007
London Stansted Airport (STN)
Comment / N575FE is one of the latest additions to the FedEx fleet. Her conversion to a freighter was completed early last year, and for a while flew in this hybrid scheme. She is previously PK-GIH and EI-CDJ with Garuda Indonesia, and finished her passenger career as PP-VPO with Varig.
Titan Airways
Boeing 737-33A(QC)
G-POWC (cn 25402/2159)
17th July 2007
London Stansted Airport (STN)
Comment / Titan added a pair of ex. Falcon Air Boeing 737s to its fleet a few months ago, the second of which was G-POWC. The first was G-ZAPZ, although this has not yet received the Titan livery.
Flight Precision
Beechcraft Super King Air 200
G-FPLE (cn BB-1265)
18th July 2007
London Stansted Airport (STN)
Comment / The recent displacement of the 05 threshold at Stansted has meant some recalibration of the ILS system, with G-FPLE of Flight Precision visiting on the 18th to fly numerous approaches.

Comment / Breaking off from the centreline at about a mile out for another ILS calibration approach.

Comment / Arriving against a clear blue sky, Norwegian's LN-KKY is painted up in this bold black and yellow livery, advertising Acta, a Norwegian financial services company. She was one of the later 737 classics built, first delivered to Varig as PP-VPZ in 1998. She joined Norwegian in July last year.
